Today you can read my thoughts on a different blog, as The Lucas Project has kindly published one of my articles.

The Lucas Project is an online resource for family caregivers who provide care to a child or family member with special needs. Creator of The Lucas Project, Jess Ronne, was also an Associate Producer on the documentary film, Unseen: How We’re Failing Parent Caregivers & Why it Matters. If you know anyone who is raising a child with a disability or complex medical needs, this film is a must-see.

  1. Wow. I never realized how much effort and work special needs parents put in. Just the fact that you do all those things so you can have a break and be confident your kid’s needs are met is a testament to how much you love them. You’re an amazing parent Ashley, even when you don’t feel like you are.
