Be the person you needed when you were younger…

“Be the person you needed when you were younger.” It’s a common meme-worthy piece of advice that crawls across social media over and over again. Yet it’s how I’ve been living my life for over a decade now… and so far so good!

The thoughts you’ll find in this blog–the ones that rattle in my head until they make their way to paper–are an extension of the one-on-one care I try to give in person. It is my hope that they will somehow find the right people and make the darkness a little bit brighter, the loneliness a little less consuming, and the pain a little less difficult to bear.
