Alright everyone, imagine me rolling in a cart with a boxy CRT TV and a VCR on it. I’m attending a wedding this weekend, so today’s post is the equivalent of me putting on a Bill Nye video for science class.

Today I’m talking TV. Right now I am completely in love with Apple TV’s new series Strange Planet.
I’ve been a longtime reader of Strange Planet in its webcomic and coffee table book form, and the show is just as good as I imagined it would be. It’s light, clean humour that gives me warm fuzzies every single episode. I guess you could say I’m a fan.

Strange Planet is a creation of artist Nathan W Pyle. He’s created a whole planet of Beings (people) who go about their lives much like we go about ours on Earth. They love their morning Jitterliquid (coffee), visit their Lifegivers (parents), and stop by the laundromat to wash their foot tubes (socks). It’s low stakes, feel-good stuff that makes me smirk over the odd things we humans do.
